About

Providing digital services to authors, artists, non-profits, and progressive causes that need a voice in today’s attention-crowded market.

Headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, Chatterton House is a nonprofit collaborative that provides tools, education, and community to help creative people find their audience.

EVEN BEFORE THE INTERNET

SINCE 1993

Chatterton House has helped creative people and progressive causes find their audience. Whether you’re an established author looking to grow your readership, a first-time writer seeking an agent or publisher, or a nonprofit in search of donors, we bring the tools, structure, and community to help you find your people.

To be frank: mostly we build websites and manage digital campaigns. But we do it as a nonprofit collaborative that has spent three decades in the company of writers — so we know the difference between an audience and a community, and we build for the second one.

What We Do

We’re named for Thomas Chatterton, the legendary eighteenth-century poet who died an unknown and was celebrated only after his death. We think the digital landscape should make that story obsolete — that no writer, artist, or worthy cause should go unnoticed for lack of visibility. That conviction, plus thirty years of practice, is the whole organization.
