Services

For Established Authors

Grow your readership, modernize your platform, and turn a scattered audience into a durable community.

For First-Time Writers

Get findable before you get published. A professional presence that helps agents, editors, and early readers take you seriously.

For Progressive Nonprofits

Reach donors and volunteers with campaigns and infrastructure that punch above your budget.

Website Design & Builds

Your website is the one corner of the internet that is actually your own. We design and build clean, fast, accessible sites on platforms you can maintain yourself — no ransom notes from developers, no redesign every eighteen months. From single-page author sites to full organizational hubs, we build for the long haul.

Author Platforms

An author platform isn’t self-promotion; it’s hospitality — a place where readers can find your books, hear your voice, and stick around. We build platforms that grow with your career: bibliography, events, press kit, mailing list, and a design that feels like your writing, not like a template.

Email & Newsletters

Algorithms change; inboxes endure. Email remains the most reliable way to reach the people who’ve asked to hear from you. We handle the setup, migration, list growth, and design — and coach you on the part only you can do: writing something worth opening.

Digital Campaigns

A book launch and a fundraising drive have more in common than you’d think: a deadline, a goal, and an audience to move. We plan and run campaigns end to end: messaging, timeline, ads where they make sense, and honest reporting on what worked.

Social Media Strategy

You don’t need to be everywhere; you need to be findable where your people already are. We help you pick your platforms, build a sustainable rhythm, and stop treating social media like a second unpaid job.

Search & Visibility

Somewhere, someone is searching for exactly what you do. SEO for a novelist looks nothing like SEO for a food bank — we’ve done both. Technical cleanup, plain-language strategy, and analytics that tell you something useful.

Founder’s Note

“Audience Development”

A friend asked what kind of projects I’d seen that were effective at bumping up traffic. The site he manages had recently started to plateau and he needed ideas. I said that in most cases execution was more important than the type of campaign, but I’d send him a brief list.
Once I started I couldn’t stop.

Here are some of the projects  that I (and the companies I’ve worked for) have launched to increase page views, visits, engagement, or other metrics from the bucket called “audience development.” I’ve managed some of these projects, some I joined as a consultant. Some projects took a year, some took a day. Some projects succeeded, others did not.

For better or worse, here’s my list:

Dramatic increases in content volume, hourly publishing schedules, 24-hour breaking news, real-time content, celebrity interviews, celeb guest editors, brand-name bloggers, community bloggers, community video bloggers, celeb video, how-to video, link-bait content, long-form content, content tools, free resources, action kits, daily contests, weekly contests, monthly contests, multiple-entry contests, huge grand prize contests, search marketing, search engine optimization, social media “share” marketing, landing page optimization, site speed overhauls, customer-centric redesigns, mobile themes, mobile sites, mobile apps, onsite display advertising, offsite display advertising, ad-network advertising, content-network advertising, link exchanges, taxonomy definitions, taxonomy redefinitions, co-registration newsletter sign-ups, auto opt-in email newsletters, auto roll-over email newsletters, short-run newsletters, event-driven newsletters, traffic exchanges, content exchanges, in-kind partnerships, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, industry insider events, celeb-hosted events, television appearances, direct mail, social bookmarking tools,  user polls, user profiles, badges, competitions, overall site gamification, overall site personalization, social media presences, targeted sites and social media presences, consolidated sites and social media presences, unbundled sites and social media presences,  staff participation in forums, sock puppets, blogger outreach, live blogging, event tweeting, brand journalism, offsite content marketing, audience polls, audience focus groups, user personas, toolbars, QR codes, location targeting, and ecommerce of too many types to list.
